 Painting of Merrylee, Minard, Argyll
Newton, Loch Fyne, Argyll, Scotland

This is a watercolour of Newton Island, Loch Fyne a grassy, rocky, outcrop looking towards Furnace village.  A wealthy neighbour moored his beautiful yacht here in the summer months, before sailing her to Portavadie for the winter months.
Newton is a very small village, south of Strachur on the lochside. A row of white fishermens' cottages look out on to the water.  There is one road into Newton and the same road out!
Crystal is a highland pony and we shared a field with her, in Strathlachlan, for our loan pony, Clyde. I painted her as a present before she went to pastures new!
Our very own Welsh cob, who definitely takes after his name!
A collie on a tractor, after his rest from rounding up the sheep. A perfect subject for an animal artist!

 Coast, Loch Fyne

This is a typical view down the lochside around Argyll.  Firs and Larch abound and in the summer the hillsides are green with bracken before a purple haze of heather and wild flowers appear. The next space might be a painting depicting the purple haze of heather and wild flowers!
